During the course of our research and bid process, we identified a very short list of possible companies to partner with for our remodel. We decided to go with Aquavida Pools after interviewing several other pool companies because of their competitive pricing and because of the owner, Thomas Lopez. Throughout the project he was in constant communication with us, and this was a fairly big remodel because it involved putting in a new oversized in-ground spa that spills into the completely refinished pool, raising the filter and the wall around it, and putting in extra decking and flagstone. It took a little longer than anticipated but was totally worth it. You would never know the spa wasn't part of the original pool layout because it looks wonderful, and we've definitely enjoyed using it so far this winter! We would highly recommend Thomas and Aquavida Pools!

Nothing happens quickly at Hotel Highland owing to our need to receive three bids for any project of any size and as an Owner requirement pre-approval. I interviewed over 12 pool companies in an effort to find a contractor who was both reasonably priced as well as someone who I believe understood what we wanted. Prior to meeting Thomas, I had a growing stack of bids from pool companies trying to convince us why their waterfall idea was the only way, why we had to get their interior pebble, and so on. Then we met Thomas who listened to our ideas, made out of the box suggestions, worked well within our budget, and kept us up-to-date with every step of the construction. Aquavida remodeled our existing pool and did an excellent job with the tile, interior, water features and new equipment. We did not get nickel and dimed, and actually I am certain along the way we got several extras which Thomas did not charge us for or even mention. We have dealt with several home contractors over the past few years and I understand things may not always go according to plans - but from beginning to end our pool remodel not only went according to plan, but exceeded our expectations completely. After interviewing several other pool contractors, we chose Aquavida to remodel our pool. Thomas did not try to sell us new equipment (pump & filter) we did not need but DID convince us to add some upgrades which modernized our Arcadia pool. The skimmers were re-plumbed so that the Barracuda works infinitely better than it previously did. We love our new mini-pebble surface and artistic paver coping around the perimeter of the pool. The crew was very conscientious, did an excellent job, was respectful of our property and left a clean work site. The work was completed in a timely manner. One of the most notable things to us was when we needed to talk to Thomas, he returned our calls immediately or emailed us to answer any questions or address a concern. Have you had an experience where your contractor does not call you back for days? This is NOT Thomas. We highly recommend Aquavida.

Aquavida Pools did a complete remodel of my pool this summer, installing new surround tile, a cool deck surround and a pebble-tec surface. They also took out an old diving board, put in a new pump system and installed a salt water system. Their quote was in line with two others I received; I selected them because they didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need (in fact, they suggested some less expensive and more effective alternatives than others had suggested). They did the work on time and budget and were responsive to all of my concerns. Tom (the owner) kept me apprised of the remodeling process and did a complete walk through with me when it was finished. Very nice work, good design ideas, and professionally implemented. Our pool was an indoor pool to start, we took down the building structure and made it an outdoor pool. Being that it was an indoor pool we needed to raise the lip off the pool 9" and tear out all the old deck and resurfacing and tile. I hired Aquavida Pools to resurface my pool and replace the patio tile and cool deck. I am extremely happy with the results! Thomas was quite flexible, working around and along side other contractors since I was doing a full home remodel, and changed his schedule to accomodate them at times without complaint. He also was priced very competitively. While this type of work is a little like making sausage (not pleasant, manual, sometimes noisy and dusty), it is the outcome that matters in the end, and I was very pleased. I also appreciated that he didn't try to upsell me on pool equipment, but only replaced what was needed. And he recommended a great pool guy for ongoing maintenance. I would recommend them.

I really enjoyed doing business with Aquavida Pools. I spent several months getting quotes for the pool remodel work I wanted to have done. The old pool had plaster interior that was stained, etched, and cracked; small blue tiles on the tile line that were falling out; the pool deck was deteriorating; and there was a section of the pool deck that was separating from the tile line. All the estimates I received from other companies had this remodel at least $10k + above my budget and lots of "excuses" as to why this and that had to be replaced even though something wasn't broken. I'm new to AZ and owning a pool, but it amazed me how all these remodeling companies wanted as much for a remodel as the ads I saw for new pools, and I wasn't looking at anything fancy. With Aquavida Pools, I was able to get the basic remodel that I wanted and some upgrades for close to the budget that I had. During the project, the crews that came by cleaned up after themselves very nicely and came in and did their work ... not spending a bunch of time on their cell phones. If someone was unsure about anything, I was asked what I wanted. Whenever I had questions or concerns about the work or work schedule, I could email or leave a phone message with Tom and he got back to me fairly quickly with answers and updates. My pool now looks like a brand new pool.
